  2. Prepare the Lemon: Cut half a lemon into quarters. The lemon juice will add a zesty flavor and enhance the alkalizing properties of the drink. Plus, it's loaded with vitamin C!
  3. Combine Ingredients in Blender: Place the rinsed alfalfa sprouts and lemon quarters into a high-speed blender. A good blender is essential for achieving a smooth, consistent texture. A friend suggested i use a Vitamix, but any good blender will work.
  4. Add Liquid: Pour 1 cup of filtered water into the blender. You can adjust the amount of water depending on your desired consistency. Some people like a thicker smoothie-like consistency, while others prefer it more watery.
  5. Blend Until Smooth: Blend the mixture on high speed for 1-2 minutes, or until the alfalfa sprouts and lemon are completely pulverized and the drink is smooth. Stop occasionally to scrape down the sides of the blender with a spatula to ensure everything is well blended.
